Hi All...we are leaving for Colorado next Friday and both of my children have just gone through a massive growth spurt. As a result, they have both outgrown their heavy winter coats. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find one that does not cost alot? I need a 4-5T girls and 18-24 month boys coat.

Check resale shops. Kid to Kid is a good one. Also Once Upon a Child. You should be able to Google for locations.
I've also found great coats at Ross, but their inventory may be a little low by now. The resale shops typically have more coats than they can move in a season.

I know that they have been having huge sales at all department stores in the mall on all of their winter wear. My mom just bought a 200.00 jacket for 30.00 Hope this helps.
I hope this reaches you in time. The Gap has these jackets called the warmest jackets. They are really thick and stylish. I love them. I buy my son the same jacket every year from the Gap. Good luck!!!
