Hi, my 5 month old just got her 4 month vaccinations. She has recently learned to roll over and has to do it anytime she is placed on her belly. She is a rolling maniac!!!! I even had to put her in a play pen next to me at night so that I can stop her from rolling over so much and waking herself up. So anyway, back to the vaccinations...after receiving her vaccinations I realized that she is no longer rolling over. She doesn't even seem like she has the desire to try. I was thinking that her leg is possibly sore from the shots??? Maybe this is causing her to not want to put any pressure on that area???? She was a little fussy yesterday as well. So maybe she just isn't feeling like her normal self. I was just curious if any other moms have experienced this. She is still laughing, smiling and making eye contact. I am just a little concerned. I would love any feedback.

My daughter used to develop hard knots at the injection site, together with a fever which she would sleep off for HOURS. All of this was deemed normal and I didn't really give it a second thought. Then not long after a HEP B vaccination, she seem to suddenly stop responding to anyone calling her. She also wouldn't maintain eye contact. That was somewhere between her 6th and 9th month, although I want to say closer to the 6th.

At that point, I stopped ALL vaccinations. I started noting that my daughter began to lag slightly on reaching her physical and verbal milestones. Not terribly far, but noticeably. The pediatrician said we would monitor my daughter's progress but I knew that by time something definitive developed, it could be too late.

I began to read on therapies which lessened the impact of the ones she'd had, which is how I found homeopathy. I will never forget administering a certain medicine on my daughter which fit her symptom picture and getting almost immediate results. Her father was skeptical but I noticed a slight change right away. And within the same week, my daughter's caregiver told me that my daughter had said some amazing sentences, which she had not done before (and was late in doing).

If I were you, I would just take note right now. We know our babies so it is ludicrous for people to suggest that huge increases in autism is because of better screening. The moment you feel something is off, ACT.

All three of my children acted like they were sore after shots as well. It's common. I don't remember getting any shots in my thoughs when I was little, but I know shots I get now still hurt like heck!

It JUST happened. Wait just a few days more. You're probably spot on. It's just a little sore. Give it time. If you're still concerned this time next week, then call her doctor.

Give her a few days L.. My son is 2.5 and updated completely on his vaccines and i would say almost every time his little legs would be sore. I think yours would too if you had 2 or 3 shots in each leg at once. When my son got his 6 month shots he wouldn't even stand on his legs (while we were holding him. He loved to bounce and he didn't even do that) but that only lasted a few days and he is TOTALLY fine! He is ALL boy and could not be healthier!! My daughter is 7 months and her last vaccinations took a little toll on her. She ran a fever and was kinda out of it for a few days but now she is back to crawling and rolling everywhere! I know it can be scary esp. with all the research that is going around right now, some true and some not. Its hard to know if your making a right decision but i think there are pro's and con's with either way. Just do your research and don't go off what other parents opinions are. do it for yourself and whats best for YOUR kids!
Hope that helps a little
God Bless,
A.

I haven't looked at the other advice responses yet, but we used gripe water. It's at health food stores. You can add it to bottles or after you breastfeed. It doesn't work as well as mylicon, but it's all natural so you can feel safe using it a lot. Hope that works for you!

It was just done, so he is proubably a bit sore. There is a lot of contraversy with getting the shots or not. There is a risk either way. You just have to decide what risk you want to take with your child(no one ever said it was easy). I pick and choose what vaccines to give my kids. Dr. Sears wrote a book that is fantastic, it gives you the information on all of the vaccines, possible side effects, and why he chose to give his children only some of the vaccines. Please do all of your research before you make a decision. On a side note, vaccines are a lot safer now then they were 5 years ago. They used to be made with mercury (as someone already said 30x the amt a child should have) but as of 2001 they no longer use mercury in the immunizations. Ultimately the choice is up to you, don't just ask moms, do your own research for the pros and cons and will you be able to make the best decision for you and your son.
