I have almost always had regular periods except when I was taking the DEPO Shot. I havent been on it for a bout a year now. My Fiance and I are trying to have a baby and I was supposed to start my period Oct 6th. I am late and have taken 3 pregancy tests. How long does it normally take for the pregnancy hormone to show up?
I thought it was about 5 days before your missed period but if thats the case whats going on with me?

My breasts are also sore and im very tired.. I am also having small cramps in my lower belly..but i havent experienced any other symptoms.
Im not really stressed to be honest just CONSTANTLY wondering if I am pregnante or not!

What can I do next?

I think it varies in people. Make sure you are taking the test first thing in the morning. With my second i didnt get a positive until 1 week past when i was supposed to get my period. You could also go to the dr and have a test done there to know foresure. I would wait a couple more days and test again right away in the morning. Good luck!!

Some people's period is late because of stress. Not to say you might not be pregnant but I read that someone was two weeks later and turned out she wasn't pregnant. Have you talked to your doctor about it? Do you have any pregnancy symptoms like sore breasts or nauseousness ? I think when I first got pregnant, I didn't feel any pregnancy symptoms until I was almost two weeks late and that's when I finally took a pregnancy test.

If you are concerned I think you can hava a doctor do a sonogram but chances are if you are pregnant it might be too early for them to pick up anything on the sonogram though.

I say give it a couple more days to a week and take another pregnancy test.

It could be stress. It could also be the time of day you're testing. Make sure you test first thing in the morning using the urine you've held all night--it's the most concentrated. Another thing could be that you're not using the correct test; there are only a few OTC tests that claim you can test up to 5 days before your missed period. I would wait a few more days and then test again. If you can't wait, then go to your Dr. and request a blood test. GL

Well, I took a test with my first, 2 days after I was late. It was negative, and I just assumed I wasn't pregnant. The next month my period didn't come again, so at that point I took a test and was shocked I was pregnant. Come to find out, I was pregnant that first month. You may have ovulated later than normal or something. Or, you could just be late. I would relax, wait a few more days, if you still don't have a period, test again!
