Give her other foods that contain the same nutrients as milk, such as yogurt, cheese, dark green veggies, calcium fortied juices.

Does you child have an alergy or is she lactose intolerant?

Your child DOES NOT NEED MILK. Stop trying to give it to her.

I just read some of the other ressponses, do not add chocolate syrup or anything sugary. Just stop giving her cow's milk. If you want try soy or rice milk.

My daughter is 2 3/4 and hasn't had milk since we dont allow her to have it in a bottle. She hates it from a cup. I give her lots of yogurt, she especially likes the Dannabils drink ones or when I make smoothies. You can also try calcium fortified Orange Juice.

My children hate milk but love yoguart. I buy plain whole yoguart (no sugar or artificial sweeteners added) and add whole frozen blueberries. Delish!
Give it a try.

Soy is not a good alternative (contrary to popular belief). Avoid it like the plague...it is hormone disruptive and can wreak havoc on the reproductive system.

Almond milk is good but read the label and watch out for lots of added ingredients. Unsweetened Almond Breeze (original flavor) is one my children have occasionally.

Coconut milk is fantastic!

Go to a local health food store and do some research.

Calcium rich vegetables, like broccoli are a staple in my household.

Anything fortified with vitamins should be avoided (fortified = synthetic or unnatural).
Juice (unless organic and freshly squeezed and given just a small amount) is not healthy in the least. It's a marketing LIE!
The same is true about milk...unless it comes straight from the cow and unprocessed.

Get your vitamin D from the sun.

A couple of good online resources for info are Dr. Mercola and the Health Ranger. Google these guys, sign up for their newsletters, and be blessed.

Hope these suggestions help.

Don't worry about it. It's not milk that she needs, it's calcium. And there are MANY other sources. Cheese and yogurt are among the most convenient ones, but there are lots. Google calcium rich foods, and see what you get. I would also suggest adding a flavor to her milk, like choco or strawberry. I realize this adds sugar, but it's OK if you just use a small amount. Good luck! : )

Try almond milk. It may not have enough calories, yet you can add calories elswhere in her diet. Silk is a good brand. It's not genetically modified & has calcium & vitamin D, plus its delish.

I kept my son on formula (in place of cows milk) until he was 2, specifically for the nutrients. After that I just put Braums whole milk in his sippy cup. If she still won't drink that, try mixing it half & half with Braums chocolate milk (Don't give her straight chocolate milk. It's too sweet.). If that doesn't work, switch to orange juice with calcium in it (Tropicana's the best). Add water to the juice (1/2 & 1/2) until she's 4 to help prevent tooth decay. Since you live in Texas you should have a Braums nearby. They have the best milk. The whole milk has the blue cap (At Braums). & don't listen to people who tell you to give your child 2%. That's just a bunch of hooey. Their brain NEEDS the fat!

Good Luck!

Try adding some chocolate syrup. Also, if she gets enough calcium elsewhere she will be fine. Try yoghurt, cheese, etc. Kids really don't need very much milk . Some say it is only for babies. Good luck!
