Hi, I wanted to know if anyone has been able to fit 4 tethered car seats into a Dodge Grand Caravan? We are looking at the 2010 and it only has 3 tethers? Any suggestions? Has anyone installed a tether after market? Thanks!
We bought the Caravan- can't go wrong with the price- but it did only come with 3 top tethers, I understand you need to use the seatbelt for a 4th carseat, but that doesn't change the fact that there is no top tether. A dealership in the area said he would install one for us. And, fyi, apparently Chrysler has a policy that they will install up to 3 tethers (Not LATCH) for free in earlier model vehicles. So, I think this will work! Thanks for your input!
Put the oldest one in the third seat and put the car seat
in the way you did before tethers were installed in cars.

Hi Most Mini vans I have seen have three usable tethers and 4 intalled. the two in the second row and two in the back row. However the ones in the back row are next to each other and cannot be used at the same time. I am ot sure who came up with that design.
But you can put the fourth car seat in the far back left corner (passenger side) and use a seat bealt to attach it. It will not have the third tether in the back however. It depends if you would like that or not.
talk to the salesman. they should be able to put one in or offer a suggestion.
