I have noticed a few stretch marks around my expanding hips/thighs! Will they go away? What can I put on them. Thanks

What can I do next?

I drank tons of water, I put on coconut lotion and really good lotion daily, and I ate really well when I was pregnant. I got TONS of stretch marks with both pregnancies. My entire belly from above my belly button and around both sids (toward my back) is covered with them...they are even on top of other stretch marks. They have faded a little with time but nothing I have tried has made them go away. I have a feeling if it is going to happen there is not much you can do about it. :(

Make sure you're drinking lots of water throughout the day and avoiding things that pull moisture from your body (caffiene, sodas, etc)

Take an Omega 3 supplement

Don't eat low-fat! This also strips moisture from your skin, hair and nails in addition to depriving you and baby of valuable nutrients. Make sure you're eating real butter, and try cooking in coconut oil (refined doesn't taste coconutty) to get the elusive medium chain fatty acids.

I use warm coconut oil on my belly, hips, thighs and chest several times a day. I do have a few stretch marks, but they're not bad and they faded quickly.

Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

Well, just let me tell you that I'm jealous that you didn't have stretch marks with your first two pregnancies...

You can put cocoa butter on them, but they won't go away...

They won't go away but I used Palmers cocoa butter during both my pregnancies & have very little stretch marks.

Nope.
Sorry to tell you. They are now part of your life. There are no creams, oils or lotions that will make them go away...despite what others will tell you.

They'll fade, and in a year or two, they'll be a silver or white color (assuming they are reddish/purple now). But they are there for life.
Sorry mama. I've even had surgery...and I can't get rid of mine.

Stretch marks have noting to do with what you put on your skin or what you eat (other than not gaining weight too fast), it's simply a combination of expansion and genetics that decides whether the connective tissue under your skin will rip or not.
It may be that you are gaining faster or more weight this time. It may be that you are older and your tissue is not as elastic as before.
Stretchmarks are just scars, they will fade over time, but never completely go away (unless you get the affected skin surgically removed).
Good luck.

Some people just get them more than others. My mom had 10 children and ended up with a few marks, she just had that kind of skin. Others have loads no matter what they do.

Keeping your skin soft helps. Some people swear by coconut oil, but it has to be pure. Vitamin E used continously makes a big difference.

Congratulations and the best to you and your's.

Some people are more genetically predisposed to stretch marks. I have a (male) cousin who was always skinny as a rail but has(d) stretch marks when he hit a growth spurt in his teen years.

They will fade and look silvery but I'm not aware of anything that will take them away.

Stretch marks will always happen, but you can reduce the severity and amount by keeping your skin super nourished and elastic by combining oils (olive, grapeseed, sweet almond, and/or coconut) with vitamin E. Apply a couple times a day and embrace your existing battle scars as the right of passage they truly are,
