Hi moms! So I am 35wks and the pain in my hips from laying on my side are UNREAL! I will lay on my left side for about 10 min before the pain is just unbearable then I flip (which flipping takes alot of work!) lay on my right for about 10 min before I have to flip again, im like a fricken pancake. I have my body pillow. I remember having the pain when I was preggo with my first just wondering if any of you have anything I can try? IM SO TIRED!!!

Thanks!
Tired mommy

Sorry tired mommy. The last several weeks were always the roughest for me with all 3 of my babies.

About the only thing that helped were a million pillows. Even then I didn't sleep well till the babies were born.

Hang in....so close. (I know it feels like forever!!!!)

I had the same horrible hip pain. I could barley sleep either. I did find that with each of my kids all those pains got worse with each. So it's normal that it's worse this time around. After my 3rd the pain did not go away after birth. I had to get braces for my ankles and wear tight ace bandages around my hips to put pressure on them while they went back.

Yep.
The joints/ligaments start to loosen up in preparation for birth and the hip/pelvic pain can be horrible.
A few pillows between my knees when laying on my side helped me.
It was a bother trying to turn over, but I could lay longer on either side if the pillows were in place.
I couldn't sleep there, but I loved just floating in the pool when I was pregnant.
It took all the pressure off my back and my joints felt pretty good while in the water.
I hated to get out, but at least I knew I could get some relief for a few hours and that helped me relax more when out of the pool.

It's normal. I ended up using a ton of pillows and/or sleeping nearly sitting up. My sister-in-law slept in a recliner with a lot of pillows.

Not a lot of sleeping went on. I think I took a lot of cat naps when the older child/ren let me.

I had the same problem the last 8 weeks of my pregnacy. What I found helped a little was to take a heating pad and place it on your hip for about 15mins before you lay down for bed.

Try a memory foam pillow underneath your hip, with the body pillow between your knees and UNDER your belly. Since you are so far along, maybe try one more pillow under your belly to hold up the weight. All the pillows make turning over even more difficult but it's worth it if you can sleep better!!

I had the same thing and it was awful. I'm sorry you are going through it. I used a block pillow between my legs so that there was a cushion or separation between my legs. It worked pretty well, but nothing took it away completely. In a few weeks, it will be gone =) Sorry I don't have better advice, but just know that you aren't alone.

I used to sleep kind of further on my front where like instead of having a pillow under my big belly ( and I was huge, gained 50 lbs with my first, and 30 with my second) I kind of rotated a little further where my belly rested comfortably on the bed bottom leg out strait, top leg bent big pillow under it.
it's kind of hard to describe, lol.

It happened to me too with my second pregnancy. I'm sorry to report I'm not sure there's much you can do about it that you aren't already doing. I made sure I had plenty of pillows between my legs. I had the body pillow AND extra pillows between my legs to keep them parallel. My baby was born at 38 weeks so I didn't have to go the extra two weeks. Turns out he had dropped early. Maybe that might happen to you? A healthy, but slightly early delivery?

Birth should solve it.

I had that too. It was awful. I'm sorry you are experiencing it. The up side is it will only be for a few more weeks!

Totally normal. My doc said put pillows between my legs and under my belly for support. The further along you get the more your hips stretch to prepare for labor. It goes away fast after the baby! Hope you get some sleep.

(also try to waddle instead of walking with your hips... doesnt help a lot but it helps!)

I ended up sleeping on the couch because it was much fluffier than my bed. I needed something I could just sink into and would hold my belly up. But, any way you put it, my last month was beyond miserable. My OB told me to take Benadryl at night to knock me out and sleep better, but I never did.
