31 Weeks Pregnant, 35 Years Old, 1St Baby and New in the Area!

I am in a moms group where at least 6 of the moms are pregnant and they are really fun group of moms. If you want you can check them out on at yahoogroups.com The group is called
Cool Mom and Tots in Henderson , NV . I to just moved here (in April) I met a really great friend from this group.

As for a Pediatrician I recently went to a DR named Dr. Levine . He was so sweet and nice I loved him so did my son. He talked to my son as if he's been his doctor for ever. HIs office is located on Horizon Rd There are 2 doctors there and they are open 7 day a week so that means no urgent care needed. I was really pleased with whole experience.

And welcome to Vegas! I will be 35 in 3 weeks. I have 3 little girls, my youngest is 6 months old.

I live in Southern Highlands which is not far from you.

I have a phenomenal pediatrician. I have been taking my girls to him for about 7 years now. They love him too! They actually don't mind going to the doctor because he, and everyone there, is so great!

They are located on Horizon Ridge in between Eastern & Green Valley Parkway.

South Valley Pediatrics is his office, and he is DR Gary Podhaisky. ###-###-####.

I don't think I have ever waited longer than 15 minutes to get put in a room after we sign in. The average wait time is 5 to 10 minutes. They run it very smoothly.

They have Saturday hours, and are looking to expand daytime and weekend hours for more flexibility.

I have 2 boys and there pedeatrician is in green valley on eastern and horizon. We love him and still drive across town to see him. He also sees my nephew and both of my nieces. There office is ABC Pedeatrics and the doctors name is Dr Siersey. There great and there number is ###-###-####

Welcome to the area! Most hospitals offer a new mommies class as well as brestfeeding support groups held once a week that are either free or cost very little. you can meet other moms with newborns and share ideas and get to know eachother. I also belong to Mommy and me west which is full of other moms with children under 5yrs and we have events everyday of m-f. I have met many new friends there in the last 6 months. I moved here 3 yrs ago and it's very hard (at least it was for me) to make good friends here, but through groups like thes you can and will. Also some churches here have MOPs programs too which I belong to the one at Canyon ridge in N Vegas. I hope this helps and Good Luck with everything and Congrats on your 1st baby, how exciting!!!

I take my baby to water wings 3 times a week. Its fun. It gives me a chance to talk with the other moms. We set up play dates and the kids learn to swim. They opened one on eastern and the 215 right next to chucky cheese.

My name is L. P. and I, too, am very new to the Henderson area! I just turned 36 and we had first baby last September. I am currently a stay at home mom and am in the same situation as you - looking for a pediatrician and possibly classes or even another mom to go to the mall, strollers in tow and walk off that lingering baby weight! My husband moved out here in March and Ava & I followed him in May and we only know one other couple but their kids are a bit older. If you do happen to find a pediatrician or want a walking partner before and/or after your son arrives, please let me know!
