My husband will be 30 in September. I am looking for any good ideas for gifts, things to do, etc. We are huge sports fans and enjoy trying/doing new and different things. Please let me know if anyone has any good ideas. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I did a birthday party for one of my friends at Demolition Ball & Adrenline Zone in St. Charles. I had a company Christmas party there too. Its a great venue, especially for adults because they have a full bar in there too!! Their website is www.db-az.com. Its off 94, kind of across from St. Charles 18 cinema. You might want to call early to reserve space because they book up quick. From what I understand lots of the big companies (Boeing, Monsanto, etc) are having their employee appreciation parties there so they book up quick. Its a good time and definately something different! Good luck!

This might be expensive, but I'd do a party at Bounce U in Chesterfield. We went yesterday for a 3 year old's party and I've been saying that I want my next (32nd) birthday party there. It was SOOO fun! Good luck!

The Cardinals are doing a campout in Busch Stadium in a couple of weeks. Apparently, fans can come in, watch the Cards play an away game on the big screen and then spend the night in tents out on the field. Not sure if you're into camping or anything, but it sounds like a rare opportunity for baseball fans.
Good luck coming up with something!

I know 2 different people who did this:

If you can afford it, get a babysitter (family for free preferably) for the weekend or over night. Take him to Chicago for a baseball game and some adult time. You could do one or 2 nights. A party is not alwasy necessary.

My mom did this for my dad for his 40th bithday and my sister did it for my brother-in-law for his 30th birthday. They planned it and booked it and packed his stuff. They had everything ready and on Friday after work they got in the car and drove to the airport. Until the were to their gate (of course times have changed and he will know at check in now), he had no clue where they were going. They both loved it. Plus it give you some time with just your husband, no kids involved. Sometimes that time is hard to find.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband turned 30 this year, so for his birthday I got a group of his friends together for an afternoon of paintball. They really loved it. Then that evening we sent our kids to a babysitter and had everyone over to house for a party.
Now for one of our friends 30th birthdays, they did sky zone in chesterfield, which is trampolines and you get to play basketball i think, then went and played demolition ball, and ended up at a restraunt bar for dinner.
As far as gifts go I don't remember what I gave him, I'm sure it was probably somethng cheesey.
Hope this helps

If you've never been, the City Museum is a great place to go at night - when only adults are allowed. As someone who just turned 30, I can say that it would be fun to feel like a kid again... and the City Museum is just the place! I was pregnant when I turned 30, but plan to go there next year (for a second 30th birthday ;) ), have a few beers and play!

Check them out: http://www.citymuseum.org/home.asp

Have fun whatever you decide to do!
