Hello! We have a 3 yr old son who is the light of our life. He however appears to have some issues that we just don't understand. He will throw up randomly. Sometimes it is after he eats and other times just when ever. He'll tell you his belly hurts sometimes and other times nothing. He also hasn't had a decent BM for 2 days so we think this might be why he threw up after eating supper but other times that is not the case. He had a small seizure the other day and will be going to a neuro dr. this week. Has anyone experienced such random throwing up?

What can I do next?

My son has esophagitis...which is an allergic reaction that causes him to throw up randomly...he wasn't diagnosed til last year when he was three....he ended up being allergic to trees, dust, grass, dogs, cats, dairy protien, and the list goes on. Once we had our diagnoses and our plan, it is so much easier to deal with...Hope all goes well with the doctor

My son does every 6 weeks or so. I am thinking it may due to yellow or red food dye. I noticed that it usually happens after he has too many things with red or yellow on it. I have cut out snacks like doritos, cheetos and anything caked with a lot of seasoning. I am also cutting out boxed mac and cheese and also crystal lite. I also realized that he does that a lot on my cleaning weekends which is every 2 weeks so I am making my own cleaning products or getting ones that are environmentally friendly. Since I've been doing this, its been getting better or hes out growing whatever it is.

No one seems to know what is wrong with him and its very frustrating. Sometimes you can tell his stomach hurts and other times nothing. when he pukes every 15 mins for an hour, hes done and goes back to running around and playing like nothing ever was wrong.

It's good you are going to neuro. There could be a lot of reasons. I would wait for the doctor. Some of the ones mentioned below are only a few possibilities. I know it's hard waiting. I have children with health issues and some of the waits were longer than I wanted but I had to take one day at a time or I would go crazy. SO focus on today then tomorrow. If you are a woman who prays, spend some time talking to God. I have done that a lot just for the patience and help with the worry. I hope all will go well this week with you and your son.

My nephew would do this. It turned out to be a food allergy.
Hope everything turns out okay.

He may have allergies. Or I would check for reflux.
