Hi
You could do:
Bubbles
Treasure Hunt
Balls (soccor, baseball, etc)
Pinata
Water balloons
Good luck
My energetic boy is turning 3 next weekend and we're having a low key gathering from 10am-1pm at a nearby park (that doesn't have any play equipment, just NATURE). It's mostly boys that are attending. If anyone has ideas of activities or a theme to share, I'm all ears. I am having a "clown" come to paint faces and do magic tricks and hula hoops so that may be the main fun. Just wanted to have some other options even though I know the kids will love just frolicking in this sweet park. Thanks in advance!

The treasure hunt is a great idea and you can do clues that are pictures of things at the park Like a tree. And as prizes you can put out balloons or small balls that they can then play soccer with.
Also what about relay races or a simon says game where the kids follow one person and hop or skip. this will help keep them all under control. I have a 3 year old son and deal with all that energy every day.
Your local toy store should sell a bubble machine for around $10.00. It continually blows bubbles which the lil ones love to chase, and eliminates you having to blow for them.
I always set up an "art" table - where big sheets of paper are taped down on a table and there are markers, crayons etc for the kids to do whatever they want with. I usually put a tub with stickers and playdough on the table too. This is really good for the 2-3 year olds who aren't really into structured activities yet. And since its outside you don't have to worry about stickers on your furniture and playdough in your carpet :)
We just did a party in the park and did a Jaguar hunt. I bought 24 stuffed jaguar/leopards online and we hid them in the trees. Then I made a trail of coco pops as Jaguar droppings and paw prints on the ground. They all got to make their own telescopes first to take on the hunt and I gave each child a lepoard skin bag with jaguar food, water and toys. They all set off for their hunt with the Daddies and came back with their very own jaguar. We then sat in a circle and named our jaguars, had jaguar pizza (pepperoni),jaguar jello ( yellow jello with raisens, choc chips and black jelly beans in it. For Thank you cards, I printed out Diegos Jaguar expert workbook with thier names on the front.
It was a great party and I also had my kids draw lots of pics of jaguars and hung them on string between the trees. It was a big success.
Good luck.
