So my LO and I will be attending her friends birthday party in a couple of weeks. Anyone have any suggestions on a good birthday gift for a 3 year old. I know my LO loves all kinds of stuff as long as it's pretty =) but not sure what other little girls might be into...

What can I do next?

My go to birthday gift is almost always jammies and a book. It seems like parents never have enough jammies and there are so many cute ones out there. I always include the gift receipt in case the sizes are wrong. In addition to the thank you card, I can't tell you how many times mom's have come to me and told me how much they appreciated them since they were useful and their child received so many toys from other people.

Every age I have some "go to" gifts, but games are great for any age and either sex. My son started playing Don't Break the Ice, Candyland and HI Ho Cherry O at 3. Shake and Go cars are my "go to" gift for 2 and 3 year olds. They seem to be well liked by boys or girls.

Play-doh is typically a big hit at that age and I also second the games suggestion (Elefun or Memory in addition to the games mentioned below).

I love the jammies idea. With all the toys out there, books are fun if you find the kind that have flaps, pull-outs, reusable stickers, etc.

my son is turning 3 this weekend. I just saw the grandparents wrap up 3 toys. I have a book for him plus a toy. I am DREADING another toy. So either have it be an outdoor toy or 'set' - like a ball, electronic bubble blower, ring toss game, etc or stick with jammies and book idea. Very sweet. Maybe add a cute night-light or book-light if you want to spend a little more. My son LOVES any flashlight.
