I read up on it and I decided I just didn't have the time to deadicate living in my bathroom for 3 days with my son!!
I truly believe they will do it when they are ready as my son trained at 2 1/2 at his Nan's house 900 miles away when we went there for this past Christmas!
Keep it simple and with lots of praise! Potty charts for stickers, http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/CTGY/FREE-Potty-Trai...
potty candy, simple potty chair like from IKEA or the Baby Bejorn (IKEA is way cheaper and both are designed well for boys!) and or a reducer for the regular toilet. Set a timer for 20 min intervals for a week or so and then increase the time to 30 mins as you child gets the hang of it. My son would try for a 2 weeks and then refuse to try for a week and then pick it back up again. That's fine. If you child doesn't want to try, don't make them! This is supposed to be a fun experience not a bad one! Also, look for the signs, like taking off diapers, tell you right before or after the fact, staying dry at night was the big one for both my kids. My Daughter was dry at night for 2 months before she got it during the day and my son started staying dry at night right before he trained too. Let them run around in underware while you are at home and don't make a big deal if the have an accident.
Just stay patient and consistant. Go with the flow of your child and it will happen before you know it!
Good luck!
