I just found out today that we are expecting our 3rd. Now my concern is the car seats. Will I be able to get 1 booster w/ back, one front facing and one rear facing car seats in my car?

We have a Subaru Outback Sport (Impreza) and a Subaru Forrester.

Thanks.

What can I do next?

we have a Saturn with small back seat. We can fit a britax infant in the middle, britax frontier 85 on one side and recaro vivo booster on another.it's tight, but works. if we had the $ i would get sunshine radian for our younger 2.

My daughter had a subaru and managed to get 3 carseats in. It was a very tight fit.

Probably not. We had a 1999 Forester and it wouldn't have held 3.
I'd go to a baby store and ask to "car test" or "fit" some car seats in your car. See what will fit and what won't.

I did, but it was tight and it did indent the door handles just a titch. We did that for a few months and then upgraded to a Honda Odyssey.
But I had the same seats, a booster with back, a five pint harness front facing car seat and and infant one.
Some stores like toys R us will let you take the seats to your car and try it out. That might help you to know what to get.
Good luck!

Sunshine kids makes some seats that have a very slim profile you might want to look into. They have extended harnessing and go to 65 or 80 lbs so could be possible that the child in the booster seat could use and the middle child, or I believe it does rearface so you could have the little baby and the middle child in it. http://sunshinekidsbaby.com/?gclid=CNO7_cuFuKYCFdLLKgodLA...

You might need to try it out to make sure. I think Babies R Us might carry them, they will always let you try it out if you leave your license.

I really don't see it happening. We have a 07 Forrester and with a booster with a back in it and a rear facing car seat and I have tried to sit in between the two and it was soooo tight. My hips were jammed between both seats. I know my rear is narrower than either of the car seats we have. We also have a 98 legacy outback which has slightly more room but is still pretty tight. You might want to see if they have any space saving car seats. Congrats and good luck!
