Sounds like you need a pediatric gastroenterologist. Keep a diary of all her feedings and what happened with each one. Get an appointment with the gastro doc right away.

You need help figuring this out and your regular ped isn't enough.

Good luck!

She could have reflux. The warm water is relaxing her stomach and it's not clenching from getting non-warm fluids.

She may need to do an X-ray test for reflux. We gave our little guy almost a full syringe of Reglan about 10 minutes before each feeding. It relaxes the muscles in the stomach and helps the bottom open up so the food passes through into the intestines quicker. If they do have spasms then some of the food is already being processed down below the stomach.

I hope you get a gasro doc on board very quickly. Little ones like this can go downhill quickly. If she is not peeing or pooping a lot you need to see a doc now.

Has she been tested for acid reflux?
Has she been tested for a milk allergy?

You don't mention which formula you use. If you are using a milk based formula, you could try changing to a soy based one. I would ask you dr. about running those two tests.

You should also consider consulting a pediatric gastrointernologist (GI). They can run more specialized tests that your pediatrician can't or won't.

How old is your daughter? 5 months-as on your profile?
I don't think babies should be getting water.
I hope you have a call in to the pediatrician...

We know an infant who had similar problems. They finally figured out she has a milk and nut allergy and was getting them thru breastmilk. Please see a Dr. The baby does not like something that is in the breastmilk/formula...but she needs it, not water. Call today!

ETA- If your dr doesn't answer your questions/help, get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. I just read your other post about weight loss....I would be very concerned. Ask questions until you get real answers from a professional!

My son would do this same thing. All food allergy related. Time for an elimination diet.

Reflux or allergy would be the first things to rule out.
