My son will not eat real foods. he smells everything before putting it in his mouth. when he puts food in his mouth he will start to gag it up and out or alot of the times it gets worse and he will start to vommit. He will only drink whole milk and some juices with out vommiting. he is a healthy weight for his age. he does try to eat but its objects such as toilete paper, printing paper, lint balls, ect. he doesnt vommit those up if he manages to eat any one of those things before i catch him. but the moment i let him eat a cracker or anything actual food wise he will gag it or vommit it. if anyone has had anything like this happen or know someone that has please help i have taken him to the doctors and they cant figure it out. PLEASE I NEED SOME FEED BACK thanks alot Private K. A.

Very odd. I have not experienced anything like that before. Maybe solid foods were not introduced to him early enough and his pallet is having a hard time accepting it now. Does he chew well?
I'd feed him really healthy smoothies for now and definitely have him seen by the pediatrician to get some advice.
Eating paper usually means there is some sort of mineral loss and he's trying to feed that.... since he's not getting it from food. That's just a guess. You have me stumped. Please let us know what you find out.

I would definitely take him to the pediatrician to figure things out. In the meantime you might give him some Pediasure since he drinks milk and this has at least extra nutrition in it.

Have you (or his mom) tried mashed banana?
avocado?
cooked yam?
cooked carrots?
Have you tried giving him cheerios or other little healthy small things
for him to try feeding himself?
The doctors who "can't figure it out" probably haven't asked enough questions. At what age did your child start solid foods?
Did he accept them at that time?
Were there arguments or pressure around "making" him eat since then?
I hope you'll let us know what happens.

this sounds like PICA. i would talk to his pediatrician about it. this is definately not normal. if your pediatrician still doesn't think anything is wrong, maybe a child psychologist would listen. definately would mention PICA though.
