Hello!
I have a 20 month old daughter and that will only eat some solid foods. I try to give her different things but she'll just spit them out and refuse to eat them. She loves mac & cheese but will only eat the gerber little entrees mac & cheese. I've tried giving her different brands of mac & cheese but she won't eat it. The same goes for with her eating chicken or turkey....she will eat chicken nuggets from wendy's but not any that I cook at home. I'm not sure what to do anymore. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

I would suggest stop buying Graduates and Wendy's stuff,
She can't eat what she doesn't have.
Feed her LOTS of healthy variety.
She'll eat when she's hungry enough.
Yes, it's been said a zillion times but its TRUE!

Continue to introduce new things and figure out what she is drawn to. My son, for the longest time, perferred chewy foods. So, I made everything into patties or ball forms. He had all his food groups and all was well. But at the same time, I introduced and re-introduced new foods in non-patty form every few days. After a while, he warmed up to most things.

Try not to worry about it. They go through phases where they love one thing one day and then suddenly want nothing to do with it the next.

I would just keep offering her things. Don't make a big deal about it. If she its it, she eats it. If she doesn't, she doesn't. (I just mean, try not to get upset if she doesn't want to eat something.)

It really is true that if she's hungry she'll eat.

Kids also go through phases of being really hungry one day and surviving on air the next. Again, it's important to trust her natural instincts. It's good for her to learn to listen to her body.

Have you tried dips? Ketchup, ranch dressing, fruit spread, melted cheese, and sour cream are among my kids' favorites. They will dip anything into them.
