hi again, i know a ton of mamas ask this but i never save their answers...sorry!
anyway, my sons bday party's in a couple weeks. my thoughts were to have a few friends/family over...eat cake, play w/babies (there should be 4), and open presents. it'll be in the a.m. before they all get their naps. i don't want anyone to be bored & i don't think they will be b/c the company's the best part. anyway, is it cool to just have us all together or do we need to have structure, like games, etc. also...what could i serve as finger foods in the a.m., like 10ish?
thank youuuu!!

What can I do next?

My son's second birthday was early too....since he was still napping at 12:30 then. Since it was stil morning, I had fruit salad and mini muffins (blueberry, cranberry, banana nut) out when guests arrived along with kiddy snacks (mix of puffs, yogurt melts, crackers etc.). I ended up providing pizza /salad though at lunch time since the party ran into lunch and folks had cupcakes for dessert. Have fun!

Sounds fine to me. Don't worry about games with kids that young...that will be more hassle than it is worth. Just make sure to have some toys out that they can play with.
I wouldn't do finger foods. I would do bagels/cr cheese and donuts (but not if you are having cake too) Maybe a fruit salad. Or one of those fruit dips with the strawberry whip stuff. Or you could do a fruit salsa with cinnamon sugar tortillas chips(you can google this recipe).

that's how we always do it. Just family and some cake and presents. I do do a little goody bag, just so the kids have something to play with while the birtday child is opening presents.

I always have a fruit and a veggie tray.

You can do a light brunch, like fruit, little sandwiches, or turkey roll ups, pigs in a blanket, bagels, muffins ...

It's nice for the kids to be able to do something, you can get a little foam craft kit for the kids to decorate at hobby lobby or joannes, micheals, you can do something simple like blow bubbles, sing action songs (like wheels on the bus, old macdonald, duck duck goose, ring around the rosy, 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed), read a cute book for a story time.

They are a little young for games, but structure will still be good to have simple activities for their age range.

I think it's fine to just hang out. But if you do want a little something to do I'd suggest a PULL STRING pinata. Perfect for 2 year olds and fun for everyone to watch.
