Hi! Any advice on helping my child deal with the pain associated with 2 year old molars coming in? He was in a lot of pain last night...pointing to his mouth saying, "It hurts". He didn't sleep well, even after giving some ibuprofen. Does anyone have any methods of pain relief or suggestions for helping him?
Thanks!

My son is going through the same thing he is getting the last one of his two year old molars. Nothing seems to work I have tried it all including the Hyland's. It is just painful and some kids (like mine) do not respond well with the pain reliever's. He has been waking up in the middle of the night crying. I feel so sad for him, but I know if a couple of weeks this will all be over with. Best of luck I pray he gets them in quickly.

Outside of Ibuprofen you can give Hyland's teething tablets. Those 2 year old molars are the worst coming in and sometimes the pain seems to leave only to return again :(
Hope they break through soon.

I swear by Hyland's Teething Tablets... my daughter, age 2, asks for them when her teeth hurt.

Have you tried oragel or hylands? Popsicles during the day can help and a teething ring, or something like a frozen wet washcloth work well too.
