My fear would be dehydration. If he's not drinking anything, and hasn't for awhile, you should go to the ER.
Yesterday afternoon my kid looked drousy and aking us that he want to sleep. By evening he stopped eating amd drinking. He then vomited couple of times and then slowly felt feverish(around 99 deg centigrade). Since then we are giving paracetamol dose. He is catching his head with hands and complaining of having headache since today morning. He vomited last night couple of times during sleep and today a couple of timesas well.As today is Sunday we dont have much medical facilities in our place. We just want to know whether he is really serious so yhat We can take travel to a farther place to take him to the doctor. Any help is greately appreciated. Thank you

It's always worrisome when a little one is not feeling well. However, if his temp is 99 centigrade, that would be 210 Fahrenheit, so I think you mean 99 Fahrenheit, which is only a tiny bit above 98.6 which is normal. It sounds to me like he has a stomach virus - which could turn into diarrhea in a day or do.
If he wants to sleep, let him sleep. I would stop giving him paracetamol (which is what we call acetaminophen in the US). He does not need that for such a low grade fever, and while it might help his headache, it's possible that giving him something when his stomach is upset is making him vomit. Don't give him anything to eat or drink for a few hours, to let his stomach settle. Then give fluids in very small doses and see if he can keep it down. Ginger can be helpful in settling the stomach so if you have access to that, add it to a very weak tea (let it cool down) or if you have ginger ale (made with regular sugar, not with high fructose corn syrup), you can stir that to get rid of the bubbles and then give it to him in small amounts.
If his fever goes to 102 and stays there, you might want to take him to see a doctor. But since you have no medical facilities close by, I think traveling with a sick baby is probably not necessary.
So let his stomach rest - don't worry about food for now! If he goes 12 hours without fluids, or if he gets such severe diarrhea that he is getting dehydrated, you can take him in. But most likely they will tell you "It's a virus" and they can't do anything for him. Usually kids get through this in a day or so and then they are fine.
Once he starts eating again, it's common to use very gentle foods that are easy to digest - we use the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast). No dairy, no meat, no apple juice.
Good luck!

Welcome to mamapedia!
What is your son's NORMAL temperature? My oldest son runs at 97 - so a 99 would be considered abnormal. While many people run 98.7 - a 99 - is NOT considered "fever".
The vomiting and headache would concern me. If you "pinch" (NOT TO HURT) the top of his hand, does his skin stay up like a tent or does it go back down? If it stays up - your son is dehydrated and needs to be seen by a doctor pronto.
If he's NOT eating and vomiting up stuff that looks like coffee grounds? Your son needs to be seen by a doctor pronto.
Make sure he's getting liquids - water and gatorade.
What bothers me? Is his lethargy...that sounds like dehydration to me. I would take him to an urgent care...if you are REALLY in Ashland, KY there is this urgent care

Good luck~!
Yes, get him to a doctor!
He probably has a virus BUT Is it possible he hit his head? My daughter recently had a concussion from falling and hitting her head on tile and all the of symptoms you are talking about were ones that they warned us about. Just want to throw that out there since it came on suddenly with drowsiness.
Could be the flu, which is going around and we all caught it at our house. In this case, we didn't have a HIGH fever, it never got above 99.... but did have nausea, vomiting and weakness in the body.. but be careful, if vomiting, that can cause dehydration, even if the children can't keep anything down, always have a cup of water with a straw so that they can sip a little water all day long.. it's the lack of hydration that can make that headache last longer as well as the dizziness...
I am reluctant to mention this.. but you asked if he is really serious.. so I will throw it out there.. if headache lasts and the pain is becoming more severe, then I would consider going to the doctor's.. when it comes to a headache (specifically an intense one that is not getting better) I don't mess around. my son had meningitis when he was seven, started out with a dull headache and got increasingly worse..we thought it was the flu.. but after 24 hours, when nothing made it go away, we took him to the doctor's.. good thing we did.. It never occurred to me it was something more serious..
if your son's headache hasn't gotten worse, but stayed about the same, then it's probably just the flu...monitor closely...
A fever of 210 your child would be dead, 99 F is not considered a fever. Fluids and rest. Dehydration causes headaches.
He has the "trifecta" that indicated a doctor visit is warranted
Headache with vomiting AND fever.. I do believe you mean 99 Fahrenheit.
99 Celsius would mean the child was on fire.
Anyways, those three together are a doctor visit in my house.
I agree with everything Diane B said.
Also, expect his fever to go up slightly in the later afternoon, this is very normal. If he is having trouble sleeping, then give ibuprophen (also known as Advil or Motrin), which is actually better for fevers and helps reduce inflammation. Because of the damage to the liver that acetaminophen can cause when used over time, we rarely gave it to our kids. But normally we let the fever run it's course for a day or so and only gave medicine if the child couldn't sleep.
Snuggle up with him for today and read to him or watch tv to pass the time.
Take him to the ER if he does not go on better side in next few hours
This has been going on for 24 hrs? I would not be sitting around waiting to see what happens if it were my child. I would have her at a 24 hour clinic or ER.
You don't mess with high fevers, headaches and vomiting.
