My progesterone is so low that I can't even get pregnant without raising it. Talk to your OB out progesterone shots.
Hi Ladies, I have recently experienced 2 miscarriages before 7 weeks. My progesterone levels were never checked. My OB suggested next time to start on progesterone when I know I am pregnant. My questions are; What progesterone method did you use, what was it exactly and how much did it cost. There seem to be so many ways to use progesterone. I am trying to decide if I should buy a cream and begin using it when I start ovulating as I have seen recommended online. Thanks for your input!

I had several babies who were stillborn. When I noticed that I was pregnant with my youngest the doctor recommended a full hormonal workup. I had low progesterone. I used the most natural progesterone and was tested throughout the entire pregnancy. Depending on how low my progesterone was, I had to take shots and oral progesterone. I can't remember exactly how much it cost. To be honest I really didn't care. I didn't want to bury another baby. I do know that it didn't break the bank and insurance covered it.

I used 2 different types. With my first pregnancy I used a vaginal cream and the second I used vaginal suppositories. I started on them as soon as I found out I was pregnant.
hi. i had the same problem as you, although, i was able to keep both of my babies (with the grace of God). My OB put me on Prometrium. It is a pill that you insert in the vagina at night, and during the night it releases progesterone levels that help keep your PG strong and healthy. I only had to be on it for a few months, then after that time, i tested again, and my levels were at a safe level, so i didnt have to take it anymore.
Best of luck to you!
