There is a place in downtown Crystal Lake, not too far away. It's called Clip Joynt and they have always been great with kids hair. They do have the cars or horses to sit on, too.
Where, in and around Lake in the Hills, have you had success taking a toddler for a haircut? A family friend has been cutting his hair but she is no longer available and I'm afraid of him squirming and getting cut or freaking out! Suggestions for a place to go and if you know the cost too would be very helpful!
I ended up taking him to Great Clips at the corner of Algonquin and Randall because I had a coupon for $6.99 and we just stopped in while we were running errands one day. Everything went really well. He was a good boy and his haircut turned out just fine.

I recently took my 23-month-old daughter to Cool Cuts in Algonquin Commons. It was wonderful. They have seats with belts, tvs infront of the station and she sat quietly through the entire cut (this is a first). I'd previously gone to Cookie Cutters in Geneva Commons and they gave her a horrible cut. The cost was $18, a little pricy, but well worth it.

I've been taking my two girls ages 5 & 3 to Cool Cuts 4 Kids in Algonquin Commons for a few years now. It's nice because they have the little cars the kids sit in while getting cut and your son can pick a video to watch on his own tv at the station. My girls have always done very well there. Good luck.
There is a kids hair cut place located in Algonquin Commons, Cool Cuts 4 kids. I took my 1 year old there for a haircut, they did a good job.
