2 Car Seats and a Backless Booster in Ford Fusion

I have a Ford Fusion. I can get 1 carseat and 2 backless booster, but even that is really jammed in. I don't there there is any way you'll get 2 carseats plus a booster.

Unrelated to car seats fitting but try a few different options for car rental if there is another place within an hour or so. We just rented a car and renting in a large city and return to same city was 700 for 10 days. Rented for 10 days from a smaller airport one way to the same larger airport 100.

I doubt it. We just tried to put two booster seats and an adult in the backseat of my parents Toyota Camry ( which is almost identical in size to a Fusion). A booster was too wide for the middle seat and putting an adult in the middle it was almost impossible to buckle the seatbelt. The boosters hung over so far. Once we got it buckled you couldn't hardly move. If you look at the car seat capacity for a Fusion it says just two.

Also remember that car rental places don't always have the exact car you reserve. If you read the fine print it will say "or a comparable car". The last two times we have rented cars we reserved a mini-van. They didn't have mini-vans and we ended up with a Tahoe. Another time we reserved a sedan and they only had smaller economy cars. We ended up having to upgrade to a mini-van to get out two car seats and luggage to fit. The backseat was so narrow we only had a couple of inches between the two seats.

They may fit but there is almost no way you can buckle the booster without being a contortionist.

In Oklahoma kids 5 and under need to be restrained in a child system. Whether it's a booster or a 5 point harness doesn't matter.

If your oldest one is old enough they don't need a car seat. They can sit in the middle and rest their arms on the arms of the other car seats.

I'd go for the Escape or the minivan.
That's going to be really crammed with 3 seats.

I'd get a larger car. My friend has a Fusion and I'd say 2 is max back there.

I have but its a really tight fit. Plus it was just to take my grandchildren a short distance. I'd go with something bigger if you have a choice.

You want to be safe - and too small a vehicle with too many booster seats isn't safe.
Where would you put your luggage?
It's a good idea to look farther away from the city for a better price for car rental.
Take a look at what's available at Enterprise (or other car rental places) over in Front Royal.

No way - no how. But if you want to consider this, your 6 year old doesn't need a booster in Florida. Law here is over 5 only needs a seat belt.
