1St Bday Party Ideas

My oldest has a summer birthday and for her first, we went to a park. I made cupcakes and everyone met at a park by where we lived. The adults sat and talked while the kids got to run and play. We opened presents there and everything. It was nice and relaxing but still had all the picture moments that you could ask for at a 1st birthday. Don't do anything too big because she won't remember it anyway. Save the big parties for when she is older.

we had our sons first bday at the park and took the play pen for him to play in. Most of our guests were adults as well and had some other babies whos parents also brought play pens. The park we went to had a fishing lake and the men enjoyed fishing while the women had a great time talking about life and kids. We didn't really have a time limit so a lot of our friends stayed most of the day and we had a great time. We had a BBQ for food and took a volleyball net and enjoyed the day.

Try your local park. They should have sheltered benches if it rains, if not the kids can play while they adults take a break :)
