Starting about 2 weeks ago, about 11pm, my dau wakes *mamamamaama" until I show up and basically I give her paci back (extras in crib she used to grab it herself!) and put blanket on her back then do same thing at about 5a. She naps well, could be teething, don't think she's hungry, does seem to often have little runny nose but I how do I stop this habit since I do not get back to sleep well.... I plan to get rid of the paci after June when have a long plane ride that I plan to use it for.

What can I do next?

She's probably getting her 1st molars. I think those are the worst because such a large surface area has to break through the gums. A runny nose can be a symptom of teething too. When my children went through it, we used to give them Tylenol if they woke up. That usually helped them sleep the rest of the night. Hang in there, it'll pass...until she gets her next molar :(

I could be completely wrong about this but you never know... My daughter use to sleep great ever since she was born but then started waking up at night. I noticed that she always tossed and turned which would uncover her and finally figured out that she was getting to hot at night (even though it is winter). I ended up getting her, her own little fan that points to her bed and keeps the sheets she lays on and her cool and she stopped waking up in the middle of the night and sleeps for about 12 hours at night, which I was told is normal for a child her age (15 months). I could be wrong but that is how my daughter was so if it helps great, if not then good luck.

she is probably getting the molars. Give her some infant motrin or tylenol. You can alternate. I do not like oragel. I would give her motrin before she goes to bed and some hylands teething tablets. May be also give her a warm bath before bed, unless you do this already. Good luck

make her cry it out. she obviously knows that you are going to get up and go to her and she is probably doing it because of that. make her learn to go back to sleep on her own or you will be doing this until she is 8.
