P.M.
Go to another pediatrician... whitish tan poop is a symptom of problems with the liver and pancreas.
ER is a bit overkill... but if vomiting continues, then go.
i called my sons pediatrician, she doesn't seem at all concerned, needless to say i am very worried, he is acting fine and only vomited once, but it was a lot, and the pale poop has a odd consistency, any experience with this?

Changes in the consistency and color of stool could indicate that he could have a little stomach bug which has messed with the balance of good bacteria. I'd put him on Pedialyte only for 24 hours, and then introduce yogurt (containing active cultures) to help restore the probiotics to his GI tract.
Here's what turned up on google from this website:

Is it normal for my baby's poop to be pale in color?
If your baby has very pale stools (poop) - like a cream or beige, this is not normal. Speak to your health care nurse or doctor, particularly if your baby is jaundiced and has dark urine - he may have a blockage in the bile system.
If your baby has mustard color stools (poop), you shouldn't have to worry
Maybe get a second opinion, switch doctors, or try urgent care?
I'm so sorry...baby worries suck:( I'll send you good vibes:)

Symptoms
* Abdominal pain in the upper right side
* Dark urine
* Fever
* Itching
* Jaundice (yellow skin color)
* Nausea and vomiting
* Pale-colored stools
I've always heard that black or white poop is not a good thing. It can vary from other shades (green, yellow, orange...) and not be concerning, but white or black call the dr. But since you did that, if it were me, I'd be getting a second opinion (whether it be an urgent care center or the ER since it's the weekend). It could be nothing, but I always say when it comes to the health of my child, better safe than sorry. Hope he turns out to be fine!!
When young kids get stomach bugs, they often get whitish, soft or liquid poop. This has happened to my kids, my nieces and nephews and I have heard of it happening to others.... just keep him hydrated and give him yogurt or probiotics when he is ready to eat again.
I would wait a day or so, but not much longer than that, until following up with your son's doctor if this persists. Whitish/pale poop can be a symptom of a more serious illness than just a "stomach bug". Granted, poop can be very changeable, but if this happens over a couple of days and he seems sick, follow up with a doc right away! better to be cautious than sorry
Good luck!
Just wait and see. If he is acting fine, just watch. Any change call doc
back. Could have a touch of a bug of some sort.
Pale and/or white and/or stone colored poop is NOT normal.
This is a concern....
AND he has vomited...
I would, take your son to the ER.
By the time you guess at it... or your Doctor gets concerned... what if his symptoms gets worse?
The thing is, you don't know what is wrong... your Doctor isn't doing anything about it... but your son is obviously ill, or something... AND his poop is whitish. But your Doctor did NOT even... tell you to bring your son in for an exam. You only phoned... the Doctor. That is NOT a diagnosis. That is just a phone call.
So... you either don't do anything... and keep guess at it, but that still does not GET results nor a diagnosis.
So then nothing... will help. UNLESS you take him to the ER... and see what IS going on. AND get a diagnosis... for his white poop.
all the best,
Susan
My 16 month old son had same symptons...took him to doctor today and he has strep throat.
