I would try to give him Lactose free milk or soy. Does it happen when he drinks anything else? I put my oldest on lactose free milk and it helped.
Hi moms. My son is about 14.5 months old, he's always loved milk and we made the transition to whole milk pretty easily at 12/13 months. The last 7-10 days he's thrown up his milk maybe 5-10 minutes after drinking. A lot of the times it happens in the morning (he usually gets 7-8 ounces right when he wakes up) This morning I gave him a cereal bar after his milk since I thought maybe this was happening because his tummy was empty. Still threw up all over. It's not happening every time, sometimes he drinks his milk fine. Is he drinking too fast? Are we giving him too much? I'm thinking of calling the ped if this continues but wanted to ask the moms! (he is completely fine otherwise, eating, playing, etc. - just the milk!)
thanks moms, no, other dairy products are fine - so we'll try less and slower!

my daughter did that. we cut her down to 4 oz at a time... and also put her on lactaid till 2 then switcthed her back and shes been fine ever since
Has he recently had the stomach flu? My daughter had a bout of the stomach flu once and any milk that hit her stomach would come up within 15 minutes after drinking it (I mean any amount a spoonful of cereal if it had milk in it would come up) this happened for about 3 weeks after this bug now she is fine. If he hasnt had the bug then i would consider trying a lactose free one or something.
Maybe have him sip it and not drink so much at once in the morning. His stomach is more empty then. I would check with the doctor if it continues but does he ever get sick with other dairy products or just milk? Maybe just put milk on his cereal and see how that is if he'll eat it like that yet. Give him the cereal bar, etc. first and I bet that would help some.
Has your son had Diareehea recently or antibitotics? We didn't find this out with our son until it was to late, but after someone has had Diarehea for more then 3 days in a row, there body loses the ability to digest lactose. In order to restore it, you must not give him it for a few days (lactose free milk is fine). If you keep giving it to him, it may permentatly or for a long time loose his ability to digest milk. Antibiotics can also cause this to happen. We did not know this until we saw a GI doctor. My son had diarehea and antibiotics for a long time. NOw because of this, one year later he still can not tolerate Lactose.
With my son at this age I found that he did better with a lower fat content milk. He would also have issues if he had a cold or was suffering from allergies as the milk would increase mucus production and more would drain to his stomach causing him to vomit.
