Maybe he is ready to potty train?!? Mine started taking her diapers off so we started potty training her. She took about 4 months to get the timing right but she did.
my son is 14 months old and hs a habit of taking his diaper off!! he will pee and take it off or poop and take it off. it doesnt matter if he has clothed on bc he will take them off to get to the diaper to take it off he has been doing this off and on for a couple months and its getting worse. What do i do? is it a phase? is he that uncomfortable that when he just peed he has to take i t off? Suggestions/ thoughts would be helpfull thanks
the type of cklothing doesnt bother him he has been able to unsnap wince 10 months so we no longer use onsies. he is very smart and has great finger hand dexterity. atleast he is taking the soiled items off and not playing with it lol thanks mommas

Soooo...I take it that it is NOT helpful, then? LOL
Put it on backwards, maybe?
Or, there's always duct tape.
My kids all did this. I put them in onsies and my son now gets them off through the onsies so I just keep discouraging him from doing this and he's stopped. I like the duck tape idea... =D
Go for it. If he's ready, great. If not, you'll know and he'll likely be ready really soon. Good luck!
I think he hates being 'dirty', I would take it as my signal to start potty training, no need to force the issue since he so young but it surely can't hurt, sounds like he is ready
I've had friends who used duct tape on the diaper so the LO could not get it off. I don't know if 14 months is too young; sounds like he's ready to me if he's trying to get out of his diaper as soon as he's soiled it. Go ahead and try; won't hurt. But if you do, please do not use pull-ups They are no different than diapers and children know this even if their parents don't! He has been trained to pee/poop in a diaper. It's not fair to now try to tell him not to go in the diaper, even if it is a pull-up. Put training pants on him and hope for the best!
He is acting normally. He should be dressed in onsies with some clothing items like overalls, or a one piece outfit with snaps in the crotch. The more complicated the clothing the more he will start leaving it alone.
He is definantly too young to start potty training. Boys should be closer to 3.
14 months old is still a baby. It is unlikely he even realizes he has peed. I think he discovered something fun and is doing it. Does he wear a onesie?
My kids all did this. It was the pooping that got to me.
We cloth diapered so I just got the covers with the snaps instead of Velcro and all was fixed!
