Any suggestions on loose poops. He had really hard ones that Karo syrup cured. Now they seem too loose. He hasn't had syrup for weeks. Any words of wisdom? His Dr isn't worried since they aren't all day and he isn't sick.

What can I do next?

Relax, let it work itself out. It may seem strange but make sure he is getting enough water.

I just had to wean my son and put him on Soy Formula (just like my older son, unfortunately, I was really hoping this would work out this time). He was exclusively breastfed for the first several weeks and had "normal" watery baby poop. And then things began to change. . . My baby's poop was so water, foamy, and well, disgusting (more so that poop should be!). Plus, he was also constipated along with it and I was having to give him suppositories. Because of our family history of dairy sensitivity/allergy, I tried the soy and he is a much happier baby, and I was also able to immediately take him off of reflux medicine (he was a nose barfer). Our case was the extreme, but maybe, if you are breastfeeding, you could avoid dairy for several days to see if it helps him. Dairy seems to be the worst offender! Good luck!

So if he's on formula you need to look into changing the formula. More than likely he is very allergic to something in the formula. Are you using regular formula? It's been too long since I've looked at formula so I can't say which one to try but there are plenty of other ones out there.

need more info - are you breastfeeding or formula? Breastfed babies have normally watery poop most of the time.
