12 Month Old Suddenly Refusing Milk During the Day

My 12 month old suddenly stopped taking a bottle/sippy cup with expressed milk or whole dairy milk during the day at daycare. He is a good eater and eats a variety of solid foods and nurses when we are together. Has this happened to anyone else? Did your child eventually move past this and go back to drinking during the day?

What can I do next?

I think every kid goes through that. All those foods, so little stomach, something has to give! All of them went back to drinking milk.

My dd did this too around that age.

I just kept giving her the cup, and if she didn't want it, fine.

She weaned herself from the breast around 15 months, and would only drink from a cup after that. Lol. So it wasn't too long of a stage.

They can use a kiddie straw, cup.
Instead.
Easy.
Some kids like that better.
See if, your kiddo can sip from a straw cup.
Its those bottles, that has a straw in it, as part of the bottle.
Easily found in the kiddie/baby aisle at stores.

I would not worry. If you really think he needs more dairy then there are other ways to get it, like yogurt or cheese.
