Try to keep her up just a little later each night. If you have a bed time process like bath and story time start it a little later each night until the time changes. This worked for my kids. Good Luck!
Hello,
It was pretty easy getting our baby to adjust to the Spring clock change, but what about moving it back? She goes to sleep around 7:45 or 8. How do we adjust her sleeping to the new time? I really do not want her going to bed 6:45 or 7...she'll then get up earlier :o(
Any ideas?

Hi L.,
I traveled to Texas (1 hr behind) and California (3 hours behind and Mexico (1 hr behind us)several times with my daughter at age 3 months, 5 months, 9 months and 12 months.
All I did was lay her down at the time she always went to bed, 745 to 8, she'd wake at the same time as always, 630 to 730.
They sleep the same amount of time so that's all they know.. how long their bodies need rest.

I would put her to bed 15 minutes earlier than regular bedtime each night or two so that by the end of the week, she'll feel like going to bed at the "new" regular time. In our experience, it takes a while to adjust to daylight savings so the gradual approach is just practical. Plus, if I can't fall asleep an hour earlier, I don't expect kids to either. Good luck!
At that age, they don't know the difference. My kids were affected only when they learned how to read time.
There has been a few posts about this. You could try a gradual approach. Or do cold turkey. Spring was no problem... I am worried about this fall back on Sunday myself. We are going to go cold turkey on Sunday but we'll see. My hope is that they are adjusted by Tuesday the latest.
I read an article online that suggested putting them to bed about ten minutes later each night as the day approaches. We're hoping that works!!
What I do is just keep my daughter up until her usual bed time. They baby my sleep a little later in the morning, but this does work. It takes a few days to adjust. I think it is hard on all of us though. I even have a hard time adjusting. So just keep the 7:45 to 8 bed time and in a few days it will all adjust.
