I am so sorry you cannot get a good night's sleep, let me say that first. My son is now 4 years old, but he has pretty bad allergies. Is his nose stopped up during the day or does it run continually?
Okay mamas I've written before and received wonderful responses, so here I go again. My almost 1 year old has been sleeping solid through the night for several months now. However, starting about two weeks ago he started waking up at 330am once or twice a week. Now its moved to not really wanting to go to sleep and crying and now he's waking up at 130am.... Nothing has really changed in his daily rountine. I have noticed he has been sluggish during the day time. He stays with my grandmother while I'm at work and he is still on the same nap schedule. He takes about an hour nap in the morning and then about 3 he takes another hour nap, so I know he's not sleeping too much during the day. I feel he may have bad allergies just like me. He rubs his nose and eyes squinches his eyes, sneezes and coughs.... so i'm pretty sure it's allergies. He did start walking on April 1st, so that's the only big change. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you so much
Thank you so much for all your suggestions. We are going in for his one year appointment next week and he'll be weighed and looked at. In the mean time I've ordered some natural cleaners for the house. So we will see. Thank you all again.

Have you considered switching your household products to a greener variety? I shop for my family at www.melaleuca.com - have for over 5 years and LOVE it. My first child had severe allergies, and this simple shopping decision changed her life forever. She hasn't had a single refill on her prescriptions or used her breathing machine in over five years. For most babies, they start going to one nap a day between 12 and 15 months, so you might want to have him take only one nap, about 11:30-12:00 after he eats lunch. This might help. My 12 month old has one nap for about 2- 2 1/2 hours after lunch.

A great medicine to give them is pedicare red box. It gives them the chance to breathe and sleep peacefully. It worked wonders for me.
Sounds like allergies. Do you or your Mother have pets? That can be contributing to it. Is he congested? A lot of times not being able to breathe can wake them up. If you think it is allergies, call your pharmacist and ask him how much Benedryl or Children's Claritin to give your son based on his weight. See if that changes anything. Good luck.
