My daughter is in first grade, and God willing, they will celebrate their 100th day of school next week. Most likely a week later becaues of snow. Last year they made t-shirts for the 100th day and we put a bunch of little "k"'s on her shirt with puff paint because her name starts with a K. This year they have to color, tape, glue, etc something on a poster board. I have come up with a few ideas, one of which is to find 100 things she wants to do or places she wants to go. Any other ideas?? She is very particular with her ideas and will want at least 5 or 7 that she can pick from :). Thanks!

What can I do next?

Last year my twins had to do this.... they each picked something that they liked for their 100 things.

My daughter found a bunch of gem stone type things from Dollar Tree and glued some to form a 1 and some gemstones to make a 0 and the remaining to make another 0. So... of course when she was done.... together it said 100. I suggest NOT gluing until she lays them out all 100 and then she'll know how many to use for the 1 - how many to use for the 0- and how many gemstones for the last 0.
My sone was crazy about Webkinz last year. So I went online and printed 100 small colorful photos of various webkinz and he cut them out and glued them in 10 rows of 10 to make 100. And... we talked about grouping about 10s.

Someone in the class glued 100 pieces of popcorn into a plastic popcorn container. (Cute) but I don't know if your daughter's has to be on a posterboard. Alot of people do cheerios or other cereal and dried macaronni. (Just so you don't do what so many others do.)

Good Morning R.!
How about...
100 things that makes her SMILE, LAUGH, HAPPY OR SAD
100 things that she loves about SCHOOL (if she can come up with that many)
100 things she loves about her FAMILY
100 things she knows that are right and/or wrong (she can break them up 50/50)

I hope this helps!

100 people she knows... 100 healthy foods...100 flower pictures...100 special things (this could include everything from flowers to foods to pets etc)... 100 songs (if she listens to children's music a lot, this might work) Some of these could be written and then she could draw and/or cut out pictures to illustrate SOME of them. Sounds like a fun project!

Whatever you do, let her decide and let her do it. Nothing worse than getting projects that mommy clearly had a strong hand in planning and preparing.

My daughter has a similar project. Some suggested ideas - glue 100 buttons, macroni noodles or small craft pompoms - into the #100 or prefered shape. Cut out 100 pictures from old magazines (perhaps with a theme - favorite color, sport or foods) and paste into a collage. Good luck, and have fun!

my daughter is in kindergarten and coming up with her project. right now it is 100 goldfish crackers "swimming" in an pond or goldfish bowl glued on posterboard. can"t say if in the next week she will change her mind. other ideas are hair bands, ribbons, pom poms, sequins she can do a design out of. I like your little K shirt idea.

I remember doing this with my daughter. A friend recommended 100 stickers...what could be easier? But my daughter wanted to do toothpicks. I also saw kids do mini marshmellows. Have fun with it!
