This happened with my son, he had major issues with acid reflux. I either had to hold him all night (sitting up) or he would sleep in his swing. I would ask your doctor about acid reflux.
My son is 10 weeks old and will only sleep in his swing. We have tried him in the bassinet and crib, but he fusses whether he is awake or asleep when we lay him down. We didn't have these problems with my daughter, so I'm in new territory with this one. My son will sleep fine when we lay him in the swing, though, so that is where he has been sleeping for the past 10 weeks. I'm worried that this is a crutch for him. Will he outgrow this? Is he too young to worry about making him sleep in the crib?

I think he'll outgrow it. If it wasn't for the swing and bouncer, Emme wouldn't have slept at all the first few weeks! Ha. You're not the only one...We just started to put her in her crib one night (along with doing the cry-it-out thing) and she's been fine ever since.
My daughter did that but with the bouncy ..but then i found she had acid reflux ....so you need to see your doctor ..but for the time being let him sleep in it ...it must make him feel better for some reason ....a quite kid is a good kid ...lol
My daughter sleep in her bouncy for 3 months. Turned out that she had some issues with acid reflux and didn't like to be flat. My friend found a crib wedge that went under the sheet of the mattress that would prop her up some. That seemed to help. But I wouldn't worry too much, by 6 months she was sleeping in her crib just fine. You might want to talk to your doctor about signs and symptoms of acid reflux though. C.
I had a baby like that and figured out the reason was because it kept her propped up. She was stuffy from Missouri allergies. I would wait until she fell asleep, move her to her crib and have a vaporizer set up. After about a week of her waking up in her crib and relizing she was fine, I could lay her in there half asleep and be fine.
I'm sure it is different for every child, but my son slept in the swing till he was about 10 weeks old. We could not get him to sleep in his bassinet, crib, even with us, but as soon as we put him in his swing he was out for the night. At about 10 weeks I decided to try the crib again and he has been sleeping in it since then (he is 19 months old now). Like I said it's probably different for everyone, but it worked for us. Good luck.
