M.T.
You do need to go to doc. I had this happen to me last year. I thought I was having bad periods. Ended up I was pregnant, and I had a hemorrage. Baby was just fine, but I had those cramps/intense pain for 3 months.
Best wishes to you.
Ok, so I got my period unexpectedly, and it should be ending, but I feel like it is jsut beginning. I have cramps. my hips hurt, my back hurts, it is NOT normal for me at all. I feel like I am having back labor. I have 2 kids, so I know what labor feels like and it is not that severe, but it reminds me of when I first went into labor iwth my first, the uncomfortable but bearable pain. I know I should call my doctor, but my life is too busy and I have no time to even go in. Anyone go through this or have any thoughts?
Thanks
M.
thank you for all your advice! I ended up at the doctors b/c it was just too much for me to handle, it turned out I had a miscarriage. It has been a difficult time for my husband and I, but we are working through it. I just want to say thank you for your help!

I agree that depending on your age it could be the start of perimenopause. I am in my mid 40s and have been experiencing erratic periods for a couple of years now. There are doctors who will work with you to manage your hormonal levels naturally, if that is something you are interested in - research shows that it can help ease the transition to menopause later.
I had endometriosis, and my cramping was always the worst at the end of my bleed, and even could last through the day after.
I'd make time to see your gyne
Long periods, heavy bleeding, lots of pain---i've had those symptoms too. Turned out I have Ovarian cysts.
My sister suffers from kidney infections that sound like your symptoms. Another diagnosis that comes to mind is pelvic inflammatory disease. You probably don't want to sit at your computer scaring yourself needlessly. (been there done that) The Dr. will know more. I hope you feel better soon!
This does not sound normal at all and definitely warrants a trip to your ob/gyn. Better safe than sorry!
Do make the time to get to the Dr. Probably have an ultrasound. Sounds like Uterine Fibroids to me. I had them for many years..did all I could to avoid a hysterectomy but finally succumbed after eight years. Now I wish I'd have done it sooner! Let the Dr. help. Remember, you have to take care of yourself or you can't take care of anyone else!! xo
Michele,
You need to see your doctor! I wouldn't mess around with some thing like this...
I agree with the previous posters, it could be any of those things they suggested (or even an etopic pregnancy, very dangerous), so please take the time to care for yourself and make an appointment today!!!
Hope you feel better soon.

Please, Please, Please call your doctor...particularily if this is not normal for you. A couple of years back after having my daughter I started to feel generally unwell. She was three months old at the time. I attributed my aching back, sore hips, and cramping to just returning to work as a busy stylist all day, and being out of shape. Well then I started to feel nauseated as well, and bloated. My period had not returned yet, but I thought oh it must be on its way. Well, this back ache began to be very annoying, then on Christmas of 2006 my back began to hurt like I had back labor and I wound up in the hospital. There initial thought was I had kidney stones (as was mine)it was absolutley excruciating, i would have rather given birth. Turned out it was a life threatining abdominal infection (diverticulitis)...had I tried to tough it out any longer I may of lost my life. Back ache is not a typical way for these things to present, nor is it a common condition I had in someone in their thirties, but it is a way it can present. Don't mess around...we are all busy Moms, but we don't do any good to anyone if we are sick and laid up in the hospital (like I was for a week) or worse yet dead. One thing I learned was to not be so stoic about pain. Ihave had a lot of digestive issues these last two years, and putting stuff off never helped any of it. It could be a semi herniated disc too, also nothing to mess with. PPlease take care of yourself and feel well fast.
I had that happen once and it turned out I was having a miscarriage at 5-6 weeks (i had no clue!). It also sounds like it could be a urinary tract infection (they don't always have pain/frequency with urinating)
I know you are busy, but you will have to make the time to ensure your health. Is is possible that it is an early miscarriage? I had one with similar symptoms, but that is just a guess. Go see your doctor!
M., how old are you? Could it be the start of premenopause? If it continues you have to make time to go into the Doctor. Your health is more important then your job or anything else. Your the mother of 2 kids and you have to stay healthy for yourself and for them. Good Luck!!
Call the doctor! I know you're busy, but your worth it! And, if it gets worse, you won't be much good to anybody. Take care of yourself!
It could be a miscarriage. I've miscarried and this sounds like what my doctor said I could expect to happen. We detected the miscarriage from an early ultrasound, when I had not yet 'passed' it yet.
I don't want to sound like doom, but I just wanted to share this option as a possibility, having been there.
Hi M.,
I had similar symptoms, and it turned out to be benign ovarian cysts. As all have recommended, the best thing to do is call your doctor and make an appointment. I had an ultrasound done to find out what was happening...good luck!
