My family Dr is Billie A. Gosnell. He became my Dr at the age of 12(when I 1st moved to IN)and is for all 3 of my kids. He is the best! There has never been any person or service for anything that I would recommend more! I truly believe this man is an angel sent from above. I will give several case examples. I had my first child at the age of 20. It was an unplanned pregnancy, and I had participated in things that I am not proud to have. I freaked out! It was nothing that horrible(alchohol, cigs,) but he talked me through it and I had a very healthy boy. Because I did not have insurance at the time, he referred me to the clinic through St. V's that I continued to see until after he was born. My son had issues drinking formula with iron. I changed to low iron without checking w/ the dr first, and they yelled at me. I went to Dr. Gosnell for advice, and he said "of course you should have." I have continued to see him since, even through times of not having insurance. He is very in tune with the fact that each child is different, and each case is different. He leads you to be more in tune with your own body and each one of your kids. My daughter is still bouncing off of the wall, even with a temp of 102. She had a urinary tract infection one weekend(I already knew because of her symptoms), I had to take her to the ER because the Dr was closed. After waiting in an empty room waiting to be seen for over an hour, and having her pee in a cup(at 3!!)then sent us home saying she was perfectly fine. They never even tested the urine. The cup was where I left it on the table in the same room when we left. She had been bouncing off the walls the whole time we were there. I had to take her to Dr G the very next day(Monday)in horrible pain with her screaming each time she peed. She did have a UTI. She is 7 now, and I still refuse to pay the ER bill. Dr Gosnell has many times "sent me out the back door" when I did not have insurance or given me samples of prescriptions. He talks to my kids about whatever it is they are there for. My kids actually look forward to going to see him! After not having to go for a long time, my kids will actually ask if they can be sick to go see him. He truly is the best! He is part of St. Vincent primary care physicians at 86th and Harcourt Road. I know it is a little farther(I live between Westfield and Sheridan), but it is so worth it. The office staff hasn't always been so great, but the nurses that work for him are just as great as him. They remember my kids each and every time, and the kids are very drawn to them. (Even after the shots!)His phone is ###-###-####
