My baby is due in June and I'm trying to shop around for a pediatrician. I don't have many friends with children, so I'm looking for recommendations. Anyone really love their pediatrician? Anyone know one to avoid? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Woodinville Pediatrics. I see Dr. Nakahara. We love him!!! I was JUST there yesterday and saw the on-call Dr, and my youngest has pnumonia. I called at 11:00 Am and talked to the nurse, she got me in at 4:45. So never any problems getting in on short notice. I also go by a less frequent vaccine schedule, and Dr. Nakahara is very understanding and never makes us feel like "bad parents". He is great!

Woodinville Pediatrics as already mentioned... they are awesome. We use Dr Greg Sliman and we love him. Also, what was a really nice suprise... I got set up with him prior to my daughter being born and he happened to be on call at the hospital (Evergreen) when I had her, so he checked her out on her first day. They always have one Dr on call each day so one of the Drs will come and see your baby in the hospital :)
Oh and they have sick child appts each day so no worries about getting in if your little one gets sick, they also have sick child appts on Saturdays too!

Check into Pediatric Associates. They're a large practice with offices all over the Eastside. Our experience has been with Dr. Alison Scott at the Redmond office, but I think they have a Totem Lake office as well.
What I like:
24 hour access to on-duty nurse for questions
Urgent care hours 7-days a week (through Bellevue office)
Well organized
All docs we've seen are patient with my daughter AND me
Online reference for common questions
Office runs on time
We may not always be able to see our doc for urgent sick visits, but they usually have appointments the same day I call.

I highly recommend this practice. They are great with same day appointments, are very responsive to phone call questions and my kids love the nurses...
Dr. Cummings is our pediatrican of record (well child visits, 1st choice appts, etc), but have seen the others for last minute sick visits... We have been happy will all of them...
