Pediatrician on NW Side of Indy

He's not on the 'NW' side of town --- but I'm a raving fan of Dr. Harper - at Hazel Dell Pediatrics - located right at 131st and Hazel Del in Carmel.

I have an 8 yr old son and 3 year old daughter and they both have been to a wonderful pediatrician since they were born. Her name is Gail Stotsky at IU Medical Group just off of West 38th Street and I-465. Thier phone number is ###-###-####. They have a couple of other pediatricians there as well who do just as good a job. I would highly recommend Dr. Stotsky for your new baby! I'm not sure about the part-time daycare. I do know that a lot of churches in the area offer it because I have been looking for full-time daycare for my daughter and after school care for my son. Usually the churches are a bit less expensive than daycare centers so you might give them a try. Good luck to you!

My son is 6 years old and we have been going to Dr. Hudner Hobbs (female) since he was an infant. She is a great doctor! She is over off of west 38th St. in a building back behind McDonalds and Cracker Barrell (across from Target). I'm not sure if that location would be convenient for you or if she is accepting new patients but it's just a suggestion. Good luck!

Joanne Smith. She is the absolute best pediatrician EVER!!!!!! Phone number is ###-###-####. She is in the Carmel area at 126th and 31. I drive almost 35 minutes to see her. I could never say enough good things about her and the care she gives my children. They are 8 and 5. The 8yo is autistic and Dr. Smith stays very updated on everything so she can pass info on to me. SHE IS AWESOME!!!! Give her a try you'll never regret it. We have been to Dr. Hudner Hobbs (that is where we met Dr. Smith and she is now in her own practice) and Dr. Eisenhut and neither one of them even compare slightly! Dr. Eisenhut was very rude to me when I was attempting to find out what was "wrong" with my autistic daughter. He basically told me to stop worrying and do more for her. I found out through Dr. Smith that she was autistic and I wasn't a bad mom as he suggested.

This isn't really NW side but when I find good dr's, I'll drive anywhere to get to them. Theresa Henderson-###-###-####, she's in Avon but she's WONDERFUL!! The office is very kid friendly, which I had never seen. Her staff is really nice and she's very down to earth...actually sat on the floor with my kids!

I recommend Pediatric Associates of Avon. Dr. Eve Gill & Dr. Donald McIntyre. This is a GREAT practice!

My name is T. and I have a 3 month old and a 3 year old. We see Dr Jill Stanton and she is wonderful. She is not a pediatrician but a family physician and she is just great. She has 4 children of her own and she listens and not just blows things off. She is at AHN at the Georgetown Plaza by the mall. Her office number is ###-###-####. My son will be 4 in September and has been going to Dr. Timothy Eisenhut since he was one day old. He is located at 38th Street and 465, behind McDonalds in the Eagle Highland complex. He is wonderful with kids. I live in Avon now, and still make the drive to see him. He really is great. His staff is wonderful as well. You can call and talk with the nurses and get advice on anything, anytime. Being a first time mom, I called lots of times about lots of things and got a warm welcome response each and every time. No matter how trivial my question may have been, they always had great answers and/or advice.
