Ovulation and Missed BC Pills...

Ok, so I missed my day 1 pill in my current pack of pills. As directed, I took two pills, the first and second in the pack on day 2. Then, within a day or two, I seemed to have the clear, slimy cervical mucous, like what occurs around ovulation. My question is, how likely is it that I ovulated due to taking that first pill a day late? Just wondering how possible it is that I could be pregnant? We did have sex around that time. I don't really have any symptoms... just wondering. Thanks for your thoughts.

What can I do next?

I do not think you are pregnant. You can miss one and take two the next day. The cervicial lining got thicker to help protect from getting pregnant. This is what the birth control pills do so you do not get pregnant. Now,if you miss more than one pill in your pack then there is more to worry about. I think you are fine. I was on bc for may years and never had any issues if I inadvertently missed a pill.

If you read the pill pack instructions, any time you have missed a pill, you should use back up contraception.

If you forgot to take even one pill you can get pregnant. Even if you have "doubled up".
Now it's not super likely, but it is definitely possible.
This is how I conceived my daughter.

Good luck!

Anything's possible! But I agree with the others that its unlikely. You can't go by cervical fluid while on BCP, because its controlled by hormones and not a true sign of fertility. BCP can cause "fertile-like fluid" during the whole cycle.

Test in a week or two, and good luck!

It's always possible that you are, if you're having sex. But it's highly unlikely if it was the first pill in your pack. Most women don't ovulate that early. Plus, depending on what pill you're on, your body isn't ovulating anyway. It just *thinks* that it is. Most pills prevent the egg from being released at all.

If you're really concerned, take a test in a couple of week (wouldn't show anything right now anyway). But it's highly unlikely that you are if you've been otherwise consistent with your pills.

Anything is possible but it's really highly unlikely. Which reminds me-I need to go take my pill lol!
