Information on Plantation shutters..purchasing & Installing?

Brace yourself- they can be pricey (especially if you have arched windows- that'll almost double the cost)! We priced several different places (Home Depot, Lowes, JCPenney, 3 Day Blinds...) the best price we found was Texas Shutters & Blinds (www.TSandB.com). We will be getting our blinds this week for the guest room, and the plantation shutters will come in October- so I can't tell you yet how good delivery and installation are, but so far we have been very happy with them. The mans name is Tom Wilson. Contact number is ###-###-####. He seems to work out of McKinney, but will go anywhere in the metroplex. He also let us bargain down our price a bit (although his prices were already low), which made my husband very happy!

Call Karl Stefansson the blind and shutter guy - over 12 years in business in Grapevine/Southlake ###-###-####. He also is a retailer for the local Costco chain. Very knowledgeable and professional.

I just had real wood plantation shutters stained to match my scraped wood floors installed last week. They are BEAUTIFUL and the price was right.... I had spoken to 4 other companies and each bid was about $1000 higher than Stacey..... give her a call and tell her R. sent you. Good luck!
