I use mint.com, it's been reviewed by msnbc, cnn money, etc all with great reviews. I've really like it so far, I love seeing break-downs of everything we have and we spend without having to do all the work!!
Hi mamas! Does anyone use a free income/expense tracking software or online tracking that they would recommend and trust? We really need to start tracking things but we can't afford to pay for an expensive software. I've seen where you can track income & expenses online for free but I'm not sure if you can trust those websites. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you bank with Bank of America, they offer a free online tracking with online bill pay. It's called my portfolio. You can link into everything, all you're credit card accounts, miles accounts, stocks, even email and track real time balances on one page showing your over all net worth. It will also track any expenses that come out of all accounts and categorize them for you into a nice graph.
I will second the vote for mint.com. My husband is very meticulous about our finances. He used to spend hours each month analyzing our spending and the budget on excel spreadsheets. He found mint.com and it does it all for him. It is awesome because all you do is set it up with you account info from any institution and it pulls automatically and analyzes. One neat feature is that you can set up a budget and it will send you an e-mail or text message if you overspend. Can go wrong with it!
If you have microsoft office create one in excel. There is also an open source office product but I can't recall the name. Google aps has a spreadsheet but I have found it to be kinda squicky to work with. Formatting issues and the like.
I have never tried the free stuff but quicken basic is pretty cheap and really easy to use. I have used it for about 15 years now.
We use AceMoney Lite and it is free. You can buy a more sophisticated version, but the free one has everything we need.

We downloaded it to our computer--that way your information isn't on the internet--we like that!
Hi Jennifer! I just came across something the other day that looked kind of cook, but I haven't been able to review it 100% yet. Go to www.moneystrands.com. Hope it works out for you-let us know!

we purchased a pretty inexpensive (less than $50) version of quickbooks to do our tracking.
If you have Excel, that will work. There are ways to tell it to add and subtract...Formulas...that you might need someone to show you how or find a book at the Library, as the HELP in Excel has never been really helpful for me. :o) I use Excel for all of my business monies.
Open Office is free office software that another poster referred to: http://www.openoffice.org/ It has an Excel comparable program.

Once you get it in her mouth immediately gently pinch her nose. She will have to swallow to take a breath. B.
