My mom has a dog that she needs to find a new home for. She is a 3 1/2 year old Beagle/Bassett mix. She's very friendly and well behaved but needs more attention than my mom can give her. She loves kids but she is a little afraid of cats. She's fixed and has all of her shots and is very healthy. Let me know if you are interested and I can send pictures. Thank you!

Have you tried a breed rescue. There is one in Littleton:
http://www.colobeaglerescue.org/ Typically you can relinguish a dog and they will find a loving home for your pet.

We have to move in the next few months probably and I have to find homes for one of my sweet kitties and maybe our dog too, aussie/collie mix that is literally Lassie to my kids.
It is sad and hard but good of your mom to recognize what the dog needs. Kids and dogs are great buddies and I hope you find a loving home. I have a sweet kitty (4 year old tortise shell kitty- spayed, shots and very petite and sweet) if anyone is interested in two pets! :) If we move into an apartment it would not be fair to our dog. My kids will be heartbroken to say the least, she is the perfect pet and has been the perfect dog. Makes me cry even thinking about it! HUGS!
I am all about keeping your pet for life but when changes happen it is about what is best for the pet I am a firm believer.
