Good lord...
topical ointments don't cause changes to internal functions.
Either you're caking it on like frosting or something medical is happening and no one here can tell you what that would be.
Call the doctor.
Used Butt paste several days in a row. Now his poop is white in color and clay like in texture. Thoughts????

unless you're feeding your baby the butt paste, it's not the cause of the white poop.
call your frickin' pediatrician.

I worked a daycare center. Any child with white poop was quarantined and sent home till they were cleared by their physician. Please take your child to the Dr asap. white poop could be caused by a highly contagious illness so get back y to Dr quickly to prevent spreading it.
Why don't you call your pediatrician's 24 hour nurse line and ask?
Call your pediatrician or urgent care now. This is not normal and not related to external cream.
Also, for your child's safety, take his photo off an anonymous internet site like this. We have a lot of great members but we get trolls, and any site catering to parents attracts predators looking for children.
Ask your doctor to be sure but white poop is a bile/liver issue and has nothing to do with diaper rash.
Your doctor needs to know about this asap.
You might need to bag the diaper and bring it in to show the doctor.
White poop=no bile. This could be a very serious problem that needs medical attention. Make an appointment today to get the ball rolling on diagnosis and treatment.
I agree that an external cream is most likely not going to cause a change in something internal (where the poop is made).
Changes in color and texture are caused by what the person is eating and by infections or conditions in the body.
The only way to know for sure is to call your doctor.
I've worked a lot of years in child care and white poop usually has to do with formula or breastmilk stuff. Like when they eat or drink something with real milk in it and their body doesn't like it.
But if you think it's the Butt Paste you might call your pharmacist and ask them if there is any side effect like this that they know of. They are the experts on medications and interactions.
Usually if your child has been ill for a while (like a tummy bug, maybe why you've been using bum paste) it takes a while for their systems to adjust, and stool can be different including what you describe. You don't say what he's been through in the last couple of weeks. I would suggest keeping track (a log) thinking back to the previous week and calling his pediatrician's office and talking to the nurse there. See what they say. Changes in BM are not related to external creams.
