My husband and I have been attending Gateway Church in Southlake for almost one year. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about the church...except the drive. We live in Rockwall. We have decided to try to find a church closer to home. We are looking for a non-denominational church that has awesome worship and great teaching. We also need a great children's program. Have any ideas of where we could start visiting???

THANK YOU!

Hey M.! :-)

Go to this website: www.fellowshipchurch.com and see if they have a campus near enough for you to try. I go to the campus in Grapevine, but they have them all over. It's the best church I've ever been to! Fabulous music, awe inspiring worship and a fantastic kids program! I hope you'll check it out. I just know you're gonna love it!

I have a lot of friends with kids who live in Rockwall and many of them go to Lakepointe. It's right off 30, after the exit for Ridge Rd and before the one for 205, headed east. I haven't actually been there myself but I know that people seem to really like it.

I am a partner with Pure Heart Fellowship in Rowlett, off Mark Lane & 66. Its a small to med size church but very close knit, very into missions ( both local and away) and our youth are a very involved and great group and we have a fantastic Sunday evening program for the 3years to 12 years. This church is one you truly can call home. Is also the only church I have ever been to where the presence of God is almost tangible. I love this place. The website isn'a always the most up to date :o) but here it is anyway:
www.pureheartfellowship.org
It is not a place you will get lost in and it is most definitley a place you can be you without worry. No one here is perfect :o)

When my husband and I moved back to the DFW area, we had friends who went to Lakeshore Church. We waited until we had exhausted every other possible option because we didn't want to go there just because our friends did. After we went, we couldn't figure why we didn't try there in the first place. They're great! The worship is what drew us in. Pastor Ben and his wife have a true heart of worship and it is obvious. Pastor Brad, the Senior Pastor has such a shepherd's heart and the Children's program rocks!!! The nursery is the safest and cleanest that I've ever been in. The Youth program is growing by leaps and bounds constantly as well. They are more non-demoninational than not but do carry the Assembly of God title. My dad (who was very much NOT Assembly of God) loved it. Give it a try!
They're located down 205 on the S side of 30 just a bit past 549. Worship times are 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 Sunday Mornings. Go to their web site at www.lakeshorechurch.org too.

My husband and I searched for a very long time looking for a home church after our church disbanded (Metro Church of Garland) and we liked both of these churches alot but ended up attending another church in Dallas.
Both have great Children's ministries and was very friendly to us. Lakeshore was a very nice church but I felt the sermons was kind of soft for my liking.

Hope this helps,
