I need help. I have used CLR,WD-40, Tilex and some other tub cleaners,scrubbed on this spot and can not get the rust cleaned! It is right next to the drain-any ideas?
Have you tried Greased Lightning? I moved into a house that had a tub that was almost black on the bottom. I sprayed it, let it set and then scrubbed and rinsed. it took a couple of rounds, but it's pretty clean now. and just an fyi, it works great on greasy cleanups and other stubborn stains too.

W-D 40 Is what we would use in the showers and locker rooms or the pool that I used to work at. It smells bad but it is safe to use and works wonders. Depending on what type of tub you have you could also use different scrubbers. But the W-D 40 is powerfully enough it should just cut through the rust with a little bit of scrubbing. Good luck.
I have never tried it myself but my mother says that oven cleaner is the best way to clean a bath tub.
Try WD-40 it work on everything and is safer
my cleaning lady showed me multiple uses for the scubbing sone used for the pool and toilet bowl cleaner. Both are really strong.
Sometimes just making a paste of baking soda, dish soap with a little water and letting it soak on there will do wonders.
Have you tried Tilax? I think that is how you spell it. My husband uses that to clean the sinks and tubs and it really does the trick.
Put the plug in and pour chlorine bleach on it let it set OR wet area rub in Comet or other bleaching cleanser let sit for a couple of minutes and rub with abrasive cloth OR wet area and sprinkle baking soda and salt lst set a couple of minutes and rub with abrasive cloth. CLR is best on stainless steel.
Baking soda dampened and left to sit a spell will take almost any stain from coumters. NOT Marble counters.
