At Home Daycare/nannies

Does anyone know of the best source to find a nanny or at home daycare (small setting)? My son is currently in a large group setting at a good daycare center, but it doesn't seem to be the best fit. I think he would do much better in a smaller setting.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I am a home daycare provider. I have found Care.com to be a great site for my getting families to my business. You could try it.

There are a number of on-line sites which include listings of family child care providers. Here are a few to get you started: daycarefinder.com, familydaycarespot.com, daycarebear.com. Also, if you are looking for family childcare in the Northwest Suburban area of the Chicago Metro area, I may be able to help. I am a family childcare provider, and though I do not have any openings at present, I meet other providers at continuing education classes etc. My e-mail address is ____@____.com any case, I hope you find the perfect fit for you and your son. Quality family child care has a lot to offer.

When I needed a babysitter for my daughter 2 years ago I found a great woman on Craigs list. She watched 2-4 kids during the day at her house. She was very reasonable too. Good luck!
